Welcome to my website! My name is Johanna (say the “h”). I am an artist and animal communicator. Think of me as your translator.

My childhood religion taught us “animals don’t have souls.” My animals were my best friends, so I was deeply offended by this. It became my personal mission to prove it wrong.

I used to travel the country, starting sport horses under saddle for a living. Because I grew up riding mustangs and racehorses, I was particularly good with the “difficult” horses. I found that many of their behaviors were simply misunderstandings, or trauma responses. I also witnessed the harmful training methods that caused this trauma. I studied and traveled, seeking a better way to communicate. I was convinced that we could find a way to train our animals without fear, and I was right! They want harmony and partnership as much as we do. We are just beginning to understand the true scope of their intelligence. I used to promise my young horses, “I will be your voice.” Now, I help owners of all types of animals to bridge the gap, and hear directly from our animals what they need from us.

Learning animal communication was like unearthing an ancient language. When I created a pet portrait, tamed a feral kitten, or trained a horse, I connected to their energy. I received insights about their personality, emotions, health, and even memories. I started to understand what was happening, and learned to distinguish their thoughts from mine.

I then studied animal communication with my mentor (Equus Esoterica). She taught me how to connect from a distance, work with animals I’d never met before, and interpret my insights with accuracy and integrity. She also taught me how to bring spiritual messages from the animals. They often have profound advice to give, to shift their owners’ perspectives and help us through challenges.

Now, I have the honor of holding sessions for animals and their owners all over the world! I do this for all types of animals, including: sport horses, wild mustangs, farm animals, dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, reptiles, amphibians, and fish. I also do rainbow bridge sessions, for passed animals. Their “internet” is more advanced than ours—they speak easily across both sides of the veil!

I also offer custom pet portraits. I connect to your animal’s energy, and integrate their thoughts and personality into a laser engraving or painting.
